Max O'Flaherty -

Director, Architect

Max has a wonderful imagination. He is a founder and director of the practice with over 20 years experience.

Max is passionate about contemporary design while being a Grade II Conservation Architect.

Max’s expertise in conservation and gift in knowing how to work with older buildings has led to the award winning delivery of many diverse projects. He is currently overseeing some challenging conservation projects; one in particular involves a national heritage monument site within a protected coastal zone and special area of conservation. Max has taught design at UCD and DIT.

Karen Brownlee -

Associate, Architect

Karen skill is for strategy, project management and cost control.

She excels at leading project teams to deliver building projects on time and on budget. Karen has over 14 years experience as a senior architect and has worked on a variety of institutional, commercial and residential projects for public and private clients. She recently managed the successful refurbishment of Ballyfermot College of Further Education under the onerous Government contract. Karen is a member of the Institute of Project Management Ireland.

Olivia Safer -

Practice Manager, Architect

Olivia has a good eye, an innate sense of what works and how to detail.

She has Conservation accreditation and over 10 years international experience as a design architect and project manager on private residential projects. Olivia also has a Masters in Sustainable Urban Development. She is currently leading the development of an exciting low energy housing initiative and has particular interest in the impact of buildings on the environment.

Elizabeth Burns -


Elizabeth has great understanding of how buildings work.

She has a wonderful combination of passion and skill. She has enthusiasm for all stages of building, with a particular interest in energy conservation, and aims to achieve excellence in both the micro and macro aspects of a project. Elizabeth has 7 years experience as a project architect and has worked with award winning practices in Ireland and abroad.  She has also taught in the design studio of UCD and is a qualified BER assessor.

Aideen Lowery -


Aideen has a great skill and passion for design, with 9 years experience working as a design architect on a diverse range of public & private buildings, in Ireland and internationally. Aideen is efficient and organised. She has particular expertise in the management & delivery of large-scale projects, while integrating high standards of detail and finish. Aideen is currently overseeing a number of exciting small & larger scale residential projects. 

Dara Burke -


Dara combines his technical knowledge of construction with strong design and visualisation skills.

He creates exceptional CAD images. He has 10 years experience and in that time has designed and executed on site a diverse range of projects from single family dwellings to large mixed use developments. Dara graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2004 and received his RIAI accreditation in 2007. He is currently working on large scale domestic projects in Architectural Conservation Areas along the protected coastline of Dublin.

Jennifer Duffy -


Jennifer is a dedicated young architect and talented model maker. 

She loves her work and draws beautifully. She graduated from the Dublin School of Architecture in DIT with degrees in both Architecture and Architectural Technology.  Since graduating, she has worked on private residential projects across Ireland, and is currently working towards full RIAI membership having successfully completed her professional exams.

Iseult O'Clery -


Iseult is a studious and talented young designer.

She graduated with an honours degree in Architecture from University College Dublin in 2010 and has worked in Dublin, Sydney and Helsinki. Iseult has experience in a range of innovative and award winning projects, from large scale cultural buildings to small scale residential projects. She is currently working on an extensive refurbishment to a large residential protected structure in Dun Laoghaire.
